Vintage Bakelite Handled Serving Utensils Set includes both the knife and push-fork. Knife marked on the metal "Frontier Forge Stainless Steel." Knife measures 6-7/8"L x 1-3/8"W with handle depth at 5/8". Squeeze the Vintage Bakelite Cold Cut/Cheese Push-Fork and you automatically push the food off the fork part of this utensil. Measures 8-3/4"L x 1-3/8"D x 3"W when open. Both items are in good vintage condition. Excellent condition on the handles. Typical vintage type scratching on the metal. Push-fork has small spots of rust here & there on the metal. Bakelite was one of the first plastics made from synthetic components, very popular in the late 30s and 40s. End of the day bakelite was created using remnant color batches from the day which were then swirled together (hence the marbling) creating unique one of a kind items. This handle is cream colored to a brownish-sienna color. Good vintage condition: Excellent on the handle. On the metal: small spots of rust here & there. Ships to USA addresses only.
