Vintage Bakelite Trav-L-Bar Can you believe there was a time before the pop tabs and twist caps? This type of opener was a necessity. This one has a handle that looks like an animal horn but we think its Bakelite. The total length is 6" and the handle is 7/8" wide. On top of the metal reads TRAV-L-BAR. Excellent used vintage condition. No rust. Barely any scratches. A great collectible utensil to display or use on your bar. Bakelite was one of the first plastics made from synthetic components, very popular in the late 30s and 40s. End of the day bakelite was created using remnant color batches from the day which were then swirled together (hence the marbling) creating unique one of a kind items. Ships to USA addresses only.
